Haydn - Mandolin Concerto in C Major (Reconstruction: Alon Sariel)

The mandolin, usually associated with folk or chamber music, takes on the role of a solo instrument in this charming work. Haydn, a central figure in shaping the classical style, combines refinement with radiant lightness across three contrasting movements: a lively opening showcasing the instrument’s delicate virtuosity; a lyrical slow movement highlighting its expressive, singing quality; and a cheerful finale that blends rhythmic energy with harmonic sophistication.

Brahms – Selection of Hungarian Dances

A sweeping celebration of rhythm and passion, Brahms’s Hungarian Dances (1869–1880) draw inspiration from the vibrant world of Hungarian folk music. Alternating between fiery, dazzling dances and soulful lyrical moments, the collection reveals Brahms’s masterful blend of folk character and classical refinement. A selection of these beloved works highlights the orchestra’s versatility, precision, and ability to move effortlessly between contrasting styles.

Brahms - Symphony No. 2

Written in 1877, Brahms’ Second Symphony is a work of pastoral warmth and optimism, with rich melodies, luminous harmonies, and delicate orchestral colors. Combining classical structure with emotional depth, its four movements unfold in a graceful balance of tension and repose.
